I think this was an interesting story full of irony. The fact that she died of a heart attack and the news of her husband being alive while it was able to withstand the news of his death was very ironic.
I have to agree the story is very ironic. When i first read the story I thought to myself " This story is very weird" Just the fact of Mrs Mallard being happy from her husbands death. Then she dies from finding out that her husband is not dead. The story is a hypothetical case it makes you wonder about the relationship between Mr and Mrs Mallard.
Yes--though of course it is too easy to say she is happy about her husband's death--it's not the death that makes her happy, but the opening that the death creates, right?
Also, blog posts should be exploratory--more that a general sentence or two... See my comment on the class blog page--scroll to and select "older posts" and then scroll to down to the last post on that page for general comments about blogging
